Often, I throw out the name of Web 2.0 tools for classroom use and, to my dismay, am met with blank faces. Interested, yes; but blank, as far as recognizing the tool. The words Tagxedo, Glogster, VoiceThread mean nothing to the group. WebQuest? Still drawing a blank.
Web 2.0 tools are becoming a vital part of education, and even more importantly, have proven to be a vital part of the learning process for today's students.
